Nimble –Videos of Gretchen at VSU

Elected officials need to adapt to new information and new circumstances, while all working together. If elected, Gretchen will be nimble.

Here are videos of her saying that at VSU last Tuesday at an event organized by the South Georgia Young Republicans and others. Remember, this Special Election is tomorrow, Tuesday May 20th, because the seat is vacant. The winner will take office immediately upon certification of the election results. So please call your friends and neighbors and ask them to vote tomorrow for Gretchen Quarterman for Lowndes County Commission District 5, with her calling for financial stewardship and community transparency for economic development.

Gretchen’s ad ran next to her interview answers Sunday a week ago in the Valdosta Daily Times. Here’s why you should please vote for Gretchen tomorrow for Lowndes County Commission District 5. Remember, not November: it’s a Special Election tomorrow, Tuesday May 20th.

“My work experiences from the public and private sectors in management, budgeting, and customer service prepare me to be a County Commissioner. As a farmer and business owner, I am aware of the challenges that face our community in providing opportunities for economic development, in providing government services with limited resources, and with keeping citizens informed about these opportunities and services.

“I currently serve on the appointed Zoning Board of Appeals, since 2008, and I have attended nearly every Lowndes, County Commission meeting for the past five years, including the recent two-day budget session and the 2014 annual retreat.”

Gretchen to debate at VSU Tuesday May 13th

Lowndes County government can lead

Gretchen spoke about some things your local government can do, especially in cooperation with other county governments, a panel about the Sabal Trail Pipeline at VSU at the end of March.

One of the things that county government can do, and if you elected me to represent you would do, would be to, just like the citizens need to work together, the affected counties need to work together.
